Chic Home Styling is a Canberra-based home styling business specialising in preparing residential properties for sale and creating spaces that feel warm, considered and aspirational. Led by a strong personal aesthetic and hands-on approach, the business had built a solid reputation through the quality of its work and word-of-mouth referrals. However, as the business grew, the way it presented itself no longer reflected the calibre, confidence or personality behind the work.
R3 Marketing was initially engaged to deliver a new website. Through early conversations, it became clear that the website was only one part of a broader picture. The business needed a clearer brand expression, a stronger digital foundation, and a more consistent way to communicate its value, expertise and point of view to the right audience via its organic socials.
Chic Home Styling had outgrown its existing brand and digital presence. While the work itself was refined and distinctive, the brand lacked cohesion and sophistication. Additionally, the website did not fully support lead generation or showcase projects in a way that reflected the business’s quality. In parallel, social media activity was inconsistent and unstructured, in a cluttered and competitive landscape, Chic Home Styling needed a clearer narrative and a more deliberate presence online. The opportunity was to better articulate what made the business different and build confidence in their expertise by consistently aligning points of presence from website to social channels.
The engagement grew as a staged evolution rather than a single deliverable. The first step was a considered brand refresh, designed to elevate Chic Home Styling’s visual and verbal expression while retaining the brand equity in the business. The refreshed brand introduced greater refinement and polish, providing the necessary look and feel that was appropriate for the calibre of work being delivered.
With the brand identity established, R3 also designed and built a new website focused on showcasing the client's work. The site was structured to clearly articulate services, showcase projects and support enquiry - all while remaining simple to manage internally. Care was taken to ensure the site felt elegant but not over-designed.
As the relationship developed, attention shifted to social media as a critical extension of the brand. R3 developed a comprehensive social media strategy with content pillars, messaging themes and channel roles. The strategy focused on showcasing real projects, design thinking, expertise and the people behind the business in order to position Chic Home Styling as both credible yet human. Importantly, the framework was designed to provide structure without rigidity, allowing content to remain responsive to real projects and content opportunities as they arose.
R3 delivered the refreshed brand, a fully responsive website, and a supporting internal CMS with training, to enable Chic Home Styling to upload further projects and content onto the website with ease. The website was also optimised for performance, mobile use and search visibility, ensuring that it functioned as a practical business tool as well as a showcase.
Following this, Chic Home Styling sought additional support through a monthly marketing services retainer. This included developing a dynamic messaging framework, managing social media content in various media formats, across key channels. Translating the strategy into consistent, high-quality posts, reels, videos that reflect the brand’s voice and aesthetic. Content is planned, created and refined in advance and collaboratively discussed to ensure alignment, oversight by the Chic Home Styling team, while reducing the operational burden on the client.
The work has helped Chic Home Styling present itself with greater confidence, clarity and consistency. Internally, the business has gained further pride in how it shows up publicly. Through it’s brand and digital presence, Chic Home Styling now accurately and consistently reflects the quality of its work. It has strengthened recognition, built credibility, and showcased projects in a way that resonates and engages the specific audiences Chic Home Styling seeks to attract.
Rather than isolated outputs, the outcome is a cohesive and evolving marketing foundation that supports revenue growth, reputation and long-term positioning. For Chic Home Styling, it has provided confidence and momentum. For R3 Marketing, the project demonstrates the value of thinking holistic, delivering tactically and taking a collaborative approach. Building strong foundations first, then supporting clients through consistent execution over time.
