Nash Water is a Melbourne-based water treatment specialist, offering practical, economic and tailored solutions for clients' individual needs and budget. Supported by a trusted national dealer network, the business has built a strong reputation for their technical expertise and straightforward advice. While Nash Water’s offering was well-regarded, they lacked digital presence which left their deep industry expertise unrepresented and prospective clients without a platform to engage with complex product information.

The opportunity

Water treatment is a technically nuanced category. Nash Water needed a website that could clearly explain products and treatment types without overwhelming users or oversimplifying critical detail. The challenge was twofold. First, the site needed to allow users to explore information in different ways, whether they were familiar with specific products or approaching the problem from a treatment or usage perspective. Second, the platform needed to be easy to manage internally, scalable over time, and capable of accommodating a growing product range without adding operational complexity. The primary objective was not a flashy digital experience - but one that felt authentic, trustworthy, intuitive and aligned with Nash Water’s down-to-earth approach.

The approach

R3 approached the project with a strong focus on clarity, usability and structure. Time was spent understanding how Nash Water’s customers think, search and make decisions to ensure that the site architecture aligned with real-world user needs rather than internal product hierarchies alone. At the core of the solution was a custom-built content management system (CMS) that dynamically linked products to relevant treatment types. This allowed users to navigate the site in a way that made sense to them. The visual design was also deliberately restrained to clean layouts, clear hierarchy and plain-language content to make the site felt accessible and credible. This helped avoid unnecessary visual noise while reinforcing trust in the brand and its solutions. Scalability was also an important consideration and this was built in from the outset. The CMS enabled the Nash Water team to easily add new products, categories and content as the business evolves, without requiring technical intervention or compromising site structure.

Delivery and implementation

The new Nash Water website was delivered as a flexible, future-ready platform that balances technical depth with ease of use. The site supports clear calls to action, encourages enquiry and provides prospective clients with the confidence to engage. Following the successful launch, R3’s relationship with Nash Water has continued, extending into ongoing technical support, content strategy development and social media channel management. This has ensured consistency across digital touchpoints and reinforced the clarity established through the website.

Impact

The new website has significantly improved engagement with prospective clients, providing Nash Water with a clear, professional digital presence that accurately reflects its expertise and approach. Internally, the team now has confidence in managing and evolving their digital content, supported by a system designed for long-term use rather than short-term convenience. For R3, the project demonstrates the value of thoughtful digital architecture, technical problem-solving and restraint in delivering platforms that make complex information clear, usable and effective.
